ABOUT ME

In an other life and if I had more hair, I would have been a hippy, a guitarist in a rock group or a millionaire football player.

In reality, I am a retired Respiratory Nurse Consultant,  NHS Manager and fledgling author.

I am from Gibraltar originally and moved to the UK 35 years ago... although I miss the rock, I love living in England, despite the weather.

Married to Julie for 36 years I am also a very proud father to three boys and soon to be 5 grandchildren. Heath, Castiel, Daisy and Eliza ...I love them to bits.

Football was a passion, now retired due to numerous injuries but still a Derby County, FC Barcelona and now Gibraltar Team 52 fan.

I love the arts, writing, painting, strumming my guitar and generally being creative.

After writing three books, I am now aspiring to completing more. The creative streak is still good, I just need the time between the day job and life.

The inspiration for my books have a diverse origin.

What inspires you?

My inspiration for Legally Lucky was the desire to be rich, however it comes with its own issues, I presume...

The story is a conversation we all have in our heads, with friends and family and anyone we meet if the theme about lottery wins comes up.

How much we would give to family? Who would we give and who would we not give money to? How much to give without flitting it all away and without seeming too "short armed / long pocketed"?

What are your thoughts on insects?

What about all these green / environmental issues we suffer from which have worsened because of "mans" interference with the planet?

Phobic Wars is an extrapolation of this and my discomfort with creepy crawlies, especially cockroaches.

Remeber that where I come from, they are more frequent and larger!

I dislike them with a passion and feel my skin crawl if I see one, however, if I manged to get rid of them all, what would be the consequences?

Would the world be a better place if they were extinct?

This novel examines these possibilities and touches on other themes that need to be gathered in the process of reading my book. What are you waiting for, order it now...!

What fears do you have? Is it needles or heights, water, crowds?

Mental Dental (MBP), well what can i say? I am so proud of this one. This is my favourite and it again addresses another discomfort of mine, Dentists.

It does no help to the already terrible reputation the profession has, despite all the advances, competent and professional dentist around.

The story twist, turns and summersaults the reader. It is a thrilling book with a big bite to it.

Phantasms in the Infirmary series,

My three books Vol I, Vol II and The Ultimate Phantasms in the Infirmary were published Kindle and paperback version.

This is a great collection of Hospital related ghost stories and it is a collaborative piece between Julie and I.

They are selling well and has had some great reviews. It suits all but especially those with a healthcare background as you will have experienced some of these and shared many stories akin to the ones in the book.

They are especially good as a different gift to get someone who has a connection with Healthcare or just nuts about ghost stories.

Halloween and Christmas' especially.

Dont't have nightmares and if you do, don't blame us!!!

Julie has a great style in her writting and hopefully this will prompt her to write more.

Go for it Jules!!

Remember all these books are available on Kindle and Paperback.

They are there to suit what way you prefer to read them...

My plans for the future:

There are more books to come from me with plenty of people to share them with and to read them. I am currently working on a comedy and aspire to finish this by next year.

Overall Aims:

The aim, one day to see one of these as a movie or serial?

Anything is possible if you try..."a journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step". This is a good rule to live by, and one I maintain at all times.

In the meantime, remeber, the world is a big place, full of new friends I have yet to meet. I hope this website will allow me to meet more of you and I look forward to interacting with you all.

Enjoy the books and stories and don't forget to tell others about these books.

Connect on facebook, follow the blog and keep in touch.
